Data Assessment Solutions combines product development, service and operations for companies that want to automate their operational processes.
Since its founding in 2008, DAS has been building solutions that automate data-heavy work. A particular focus is collecting, quality-assuring and using the data these solutions need. The company has around 30 employees and is based in Hannover.
Our aim is to deliver measurable value to clients. That requires integration into processes that have a direct impact on revenue or cost.
Most of our employees have a background in maths and the natural sciences. That shapes our company culture. We enjoy solving complex problems.
Co-founder and Managing Partner
Axel Völker earned his doctorate in theoretical physics at the University of Göttingen. He began his career at IBM, where he worked for seven years as a consultant on international IT projects before first becoming self-employed as a freelancer.

After a doctorate in computer science at ETH Zurich, Joachim Giesen spent a year as a postdoc at Ohio State University in Columbus. He then held positions as a senior researcher at ETH Zurich and at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Saarbrücken. Since 2008 he has been Professor of Theoretical Computer Science at Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
