Managing partner

Axel Völker has a PhD in theoretical physics from Göttingen University. He began his career at IBM, where he spent seven years as a consultant on various international IT projects before going freelance.

Co-founder and partner

After obtaining his PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, Joachim Giesen spent a year as a post-doctoral student at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He was then employed as a senior researcher at the ETH, Zurich, and at the Max-Planck Institute for Computer Science in Saarbrücken, Germany. In 2008, he was appointed Professor of theoretical informatics at Friedrich Schiller University, Jena.
